Who is EIR?

I am a practitioner and forever student of medicine that originates from cultures and peoples who are not my biological ancestors. In my practice, I honor these origins and foundations, and seek out the teachings of those who do carry this ancestry through to today both on the continent and in the diaspora.

One of the beauties of East Asian Medicine is its ability to connect with and support each of us on our health journey, recognizing each and every part of what makes us whole. This universality comes from the stars – our simultaneous connection to both the heavens and earth as humans. Beautifully imperfect humans.

In my study and love of this medicine, I have also been encouraged to seek out the healing teachings of my own ancestry. As might be telegraphed by my tall stature, many of my ancestors originated from Scandinavia, especially present-day Norway and Sweden. Although much of the ancient Norse medical practices have been lost to time, there are clues that shine through in the poetry and mythology that has survived.

And, in these keyholes into the past, we meet EIR.

(pronounced air)

Whether a Goddess or a Valkyrie or both, EIR is remembered as a physician or healing guide. Seated atop Lyfjaberg, the healing mountain, EIR offered not only freedom from illness but the golden rays of sunshine that reawaken the earth in springtime. In wholeness and in health.

EIR WHOLE HEALTH

Our work together is not just about the injury or illness present today, it is about the remembrance of your wholeness.

From the ancestry of this medicine and my own personal ancestry, I am delighted and honored to be able to offer you these golden rays of sunshine and connect with the goddess within you!
